I tried this out after checking interactions with other supplements, prescriptions I ... I tried this out after checking interactions with other supplements, prescriptions I take, & over-the-counter medications iuse, even if I only use them as needed. I had read that among other benefits, it is supposed to help with joint pain. Being as I'm a klutz (if there was a klutz Olympic event, I'd have taken the gold every cycle!😆), I have done a lot of damage to my joints. I've only had one broken limb, & even that was sprained badly as well as broken...doctors & one chiropracter have told me I have "loose joints," that slip out of place before a bone can break (I think you call that a "mixed blessing"...) As a.result, my joints are now arthritic, having been abused by a person who finally took judo lessons in hopes of learning to fall with fewer injuries resulting! I am well beyond what a couple of our AG's infamous aspirin will help...beyond help from any NSAID, to be honest. So I was quite relieved to find something that would help (I'm violently allergic to all seafood, & both glucosamine & chondroitin are derived from the protein in the shells of shellfish, & make me very ill). I'd had some help with another supplement, but this has been more help than I've had in ages. I always tell people that just because something is derived from nature doesn't mean there are no side effects or drug interactions (with food &/or drugs), & to be scrupulously honest about everything they take, even if it's something they only use as needed...even if it's over-the-counter, even if it's a nutriceutical, homeopathic remedy, supplement, they should tell their doctor and ask her or him to tell them if it's safe to try. Read labels & make sure you're using everything the way the label says to use it...& start at the lowest possible dose, working your way up. I didn't just decide to take 600 mg, the amount in these capsules...I started with lower doses & hit the "sweet spot" here. I have gotten a lot of help considering the source of this ancient remedy & its usage in embalming as well as medicine. It allows me to get additional relief without resorting to stronger pain medication.
